VoteParty.ca’s celebrity video ad has reached about 700,000 voters by showing in movie theatres across Ontario since May 26^th

OTTAWA – Today, the VoteParty.ca and VotePromise.ca voter turnout initiatives of the Democracy Education Network are letting Ontario voters know that it’s not too late to join the #VoteParty by Making a #VoteDate with a non-voter to take them to vote or to by Making the #VotePromise to help a non-voter vote.

VoteParty.ca’s celebrity video urging voters to Make a #VoteDate with a non-voter has been seen by about 700,000 Ontarians before movies in 67 Cineplex theatres across Ontario since May 26th. The video features Rick Mercer, chart-topping band MAGIC!, Ashley Carlingbull (actress and Mrs. Universe), Michelle Morgan (from CBC’s “Heartland”) and Elena Juatco (from ABC’s “Open Heart”).

VoteParty.ca has also reached tens of thousands more Ontarians with the video, and other Make a #VoteDate videos and posts, on its Facebook page and Twitter account. VotePromise.ca has also reached tens of thousands of Ontarians with its Make the #VotePromise videos, including a video by TV and radio personality George Stroumboulopoulos on its Facebook page and Twitter account.

All Ontarians are also invited to post to Twitter #VoteParty tonight to share their reactions to the election results.
